My Special Place is a place where I can relax and enjoy nature. The family lakehouse on Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga is that special place.

Walter!! Welcome ack to the land of the computer living!! ;) This is just stunning!! the light off the water is truly miraculous -- and i agree -- if the place allows some sort of reconnection w/ nature than it is a special place indeed!!! bravo!!!

@dj.tigersprout: It is great to be back. Thank you. Now if I can just find the time to get to my special place a little more often. Football season will be over in 5 weeks and will hopefully allow me to get back down there soon. It is so nice this time of year when no one else is there.

Beautiful warm tones, here, Walter ... there's almost a metallic-glow quality to the whole image. Looks like there's plenty of tall pines in this special place of yours.

this lake looks very peaceful and beautiful too. Nice job on the lighting. :)

@Marion: You are kind. I love both the mountains and the lakes and wish I had both, but alas, no. It is a great place to be all year, but is the most peaceful during the fall and winter when most people do not visit. However, the weekdays in the summer are still fairly quiet with most people working.
