dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United StatesWalter!! Welcome ack to the land of the computer living!! ;) This is just stunning!! the light off the water is truly miraculous -- and i agree -- if the place allows some sort of reconnection w/ nature than it is a special place indeed!!! bravo!!! 7 Nov 2008 7:13am @dj.tigersprout: It is great to be back. Thank you. Now if I can just find the time to get to my special place a little more often. Football season will be over in 5 weeks and will hopefully allow me to get back down there soon. It is so nice this time of year when no one else is there. @Eleftheria!: Thanks for visiting. Suzanne Cummings from Huntington Bch, United StatesOutstanding. Looks like there's plenty of tall pines in this special place of yours. 7 Nov 2008 11:11pm @Ron: Southern Yellow Pines all over the place. amy from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaAnd that is a most special view and image of sunset! Thanks for getting everyone involved. @Kathryn: Thanks for visiting Kathryn, but I must say my backyard is just not as big as yours. Really liked your photos and look forward to one day heading to see it. Marion from Liberty Township, United Statesthis lake looks very peaceful and beautiful too. Nice job on the lighting. :) 10 Nov 2008 1:42am @Marion: You are kind. I love both the mountains and the lakes and wish I had both, but alas, no. It is a great place to be all year, but is the most peaceful during the fall and winter when most people do not visit. However, the weekdays in the summer are still fairly quiet with most people working. GJC from Kyoto, JapanA special place, indeed. The light and the scenery are particularly nice. 10 Nov 2008 8:29am |
